Research Interns Wanted for Summer 2015
The Hyattsville Community Development Corporation (CDC), a local non-profit community organization serving Hyattsville, the Gateway Arts District, and the Route 1 Corridor, seeks part-time interns for summer 2015. This is an unpaid, part time internship with a flexible work schedule and environment that fosters creativity and independence. Current students can receive class credit.
The CDC is looking for Research Interns to assist the CDC staff on community development programs. Desired qualities include a combination of the following: knowledge of and or interest in learning about public policy, community development, urban planning, grant writing, professional writing, real estate development, database development, and arts management. Additionally, independent time management and a good sense of humor are a must.
In addition, for this summer, we are also seeking bilingual candidates (Spanish/English) to assist in specific assignments related to our growing Spanish-speaking community. Responsibilities will include: translating outreach materials, drafting correspondence, communicating with local business owners, on-site implementation during events, and other activities as needed.
The Hyattsville CDC works to foster the arts in public places; promote sustainable economic development; facilitate and engage in revitalization activities.
