Subject: Tiny Houses Research Study Listening Sessions

What: Baltimore City residents are invited to share thoughts on home and tiny houses as part of a research study starting in January 2020 called “Tiny Houses and the Black Experience in Baltimore.” Study will ask ‘What are city residents’ feelings on tiny homes, comparing tiny houses with the traditional housing stock?’ Questionnaire will be online, with 3 listening sessions for community interest.

Who: Mr. Justin Fair, Graduate Masters Candidate in City & Regional Planning, jufai1@morgan.edu

Why: Study will gather personal stories and sentiments on what cultural and history-based attitudes inform residents’ sense of home. This will conclude: Who will realistically be the future residents of tiny homes in Baltimore? What values do they hold? Will tiny homes be good for Black residents?

When: Questionnaires held online Jan-Feb. 3 Listening sessions scheduled for Thu. 1/9 6:30p, Tue. 1/21 6:30p, Sun. 2/2 1:30p
